BALANCE TEST

Zinzino BalanceTest is a simple self-test for the analysis of 11 fatty acids in capillary blood obtained from a fingertip using the dried blood drop (DBS) method. When analyzing fatty acids, the DBS method is scientifically proven to be as accurate as a blood sample taken from a vein.

The test requires only a few drops of fingertip blood on Whatman® filter paper and takes less than a minute.

YOU WILL LEARN FROM THE TEST:

Protection value

It talks about the level of protection of fatty acids.

Omega-3 index
Omega-3s provide a number of benefits because they are the primary building blocks of your cells. EPA acid is found in large quantities in blood, muscles, and tissues. DHA acid is found in large quantities in the brain, sperm and eyes.

Omega-6:3 balance
The correct balance of omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids is important for cell division and tissue formation, for maintaining (homeostasis) of the body, and it also helps control inflammatory processes.

Fluidity of the cell membrane
A value showing whether the ability to receive and excrete substances through cell membranes is sufficient.

The more saturated fatty acids the membrane contains, the stronger it is. The more polyunsaturated fats the membrane contains, the more liquid it is.

The composition and structural structure of cell membranes are important characteristics of the health of cells, and thus of the organism. On the one hand, the membrane must be strong enough for its structural construction to be in good condition. On the other hand, the membrane must be fluid enough so that nutrients (inwards) and harmful substances (outwards) can penetrate through it.

Mental strength
Is a balanced amount of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids reaching the brain and nervous system? Cognitive performance improves with increased consumption of Omega-3 EPA and DHA. In children and the elderly, a lack of omega-3 fatty acids can cause learning and memory disorders, as well as mood changes.

Arachidonic acid (AA) index
Arachidonic acid (AA) is the most important omega-6 fatty acid for our body. It is the starting point for the production of local tissue hormones (eg prostaglandins, thromboxanes and leukotrienes), which have different functions in our bodies. The optimal occurrence of arachidonic acid ensures the protection of the body from harm, limiting the progress of infection or the impact of injury.

HOW ARE YOU?

Do a Balance Test with a few drops of your blood.

You will receive the results online. It is important to keep the part of the card with the code that will be used for logging in.
You send the test to the laboratory without mentioning your name or other personal data.
